Autobiography

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of meeting me yet or hearing my story, my name is Deian Thomas Legge. I was born on August 3, 2005 at 11:50 PM (Mom says that's good because she escaped an extra day at the hospital this way - you know, being born before midnight). Speaking of the hospital, I thought I'd mention that I was born at Abington Memorial Hospital and Dr. Jimmy Ruiz was the man who brought me here - MmmKay. I weighed in at 6 pounds, 1 ounce (my own wrestling class - fear me competitors!) and measured at 19 inches. This is remarkable, as I was born a whole month early!!

Now I will digress and tell you about how my name was decided by my Mom and Dad. My first name is Deian (pronounced as Ian with a "D" in front), which is Welsh for the name "David". My father is Welsh (meaning he was born in Wales - and Wales is NOT in England!!) and my grandfather (my mom's dad - if you can follow that) is named David. My middle name Thomas is given because my Dad's middle name is Thomas and so is his Dad's! Trying to include both Patriarchs was tough, but Mom and Dad pulled it off!

At any rate, my Mom has been trying to help me make this site forever! She has been drafting entry after entry and finally decided that we need to start things somewhere and we need to work together. My take on things was to set up a webcam in my crib so that I may air my life as it is - like a reality show, but Mom said that it's not the best idea as there are "bad people" out there. On the other hand, Mom would like to boast about my achievements to others through this site, but I think it is a bit on the gloating side. We are happy to announce that we have come to a happy medium and are going to incorporate both styles into this blog. I can talk about my green, smelly poop while Mom & Dad talk about my milestones, smiles and sounds.

So, to bring everyone up to speed, I will continue to talk about myself in the present.

I am now 3 1/2 months old. I weigh 14 pounds and am not sure how tall I am (although I am really challenging Carter's right now to fit into their 3-6 month old pajamas). I am now cooing, laughing (especially when I poop because I know how I've got it made - usually Dad having to change this mess), making sounds that start with the consonants "y", "g", "m", and "d", still peeing in my own face (Nona was the first to experience this when I was a wee lad), and get magically happy when Dad gets home each day.

In the future, I will add more. My mom has so many pictures to add, but needs to find the perfect one, so we will add pictures soon!
